Girls Weekend in New York City!

Here is my mom and Carisa on the plane on the way to NYC. They stayed with Carisa's friend Angie who lives in Greenwich, Ct. The girls enjoyed some good quality time, and were able to see many of the New York sites. They first took the train into the city where they started their journey first visiting Battery Park and the Statue of Liberty (although it is very far away and hard to see - as you notice in the picture). They continued their visit to the World Trade Center site. They enjoyed time walking through China Town, Soho, and Little Italy. Later in the weekend they met up with the best man from Carisa's wedding, Mike and his new fiance Jamie, for dinner and a comedy show in Tribeca. They also stopped off at Times Square, Rockefeller Center and briefly saw the Empire State Building in the cab on the way to Tribeca. Finally, my mom was able to meet up with her friend Anne. My mom and Anne have been friends since junior high school! They hadn't seen each other in almost 7 years, so it was nice for them to catch up. My mom also met her new fiance Art, who kept my mom and her friends laughing through out lunch. My mom can't wait to hear the details of their very fancy wedding in NYC coming soon! Overall, the girls enjoyed their brief time in the city. My mom looks forward to going out again to see Anne and Art and bring my dad too. I think that city is a bit too big for me, so I will stay home and protect our house:0)
